On June 27, 2024, a workshop dedicated to the interim results and prospects of research conducted under the RNF grant "Factors of Resource Intensification for SMEs in Conditions of External Uncertainty" took place at the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy at HSE University (Perm). Participants discussed key achievements and steps in the project aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in a changing economic environment.
The fifteenth meeting of the Working Group was held on June 4, 2024,jointly chaired by N.Y. Kudryavtsev, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and Sun Jian, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China. The event was held in Yekaterinburg on the basis of the Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin.
The first seminar was held on June 6, 2024. Tairzhan Karabasov, a 4th year post-graduate student of the MIEM of the Higher School of Economics, made a presentation. His report was covering new hybrid functional materials superconductor/topological insulator/ferromagnet and their use to create superconducting diodes.
Leading scientists from HSE University have won the Scientific Category of the 2024 Best Russian-Language Scientific and Popular Science Works Competition by HSE University employees in the "Biology and Medicine" section for their research on predicting the effectiveness of chemotherapy with gemcitabine in patients with bladder cancer.
The final workshop "What defines the High-Low Arctic tundra boundary, where it is and how to map it?" was held on 5 June 2024.
HSE University, in collaboration with Sber, have conducted a foresight study on artificial intelligence (AI). Its early results were discussed by the participants of a strategic foresight session on exploratory research in AI, held at the Coordination Centre of the Russian Government, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. The results from the foresight study will inform the Unified Research and Development Programme in the Field of AI.

From May 31 to June 2, 2024, the Second Annual Interdisciplinary Conference “Exploring the Deaf Community” was held, organized by the House of Culture GES-2 together with the International Laboratory for Social Integration Studies of the HSE.
