ICSID Leading Research Fellow Ekaterina Borisova was invited to take part in a seminar organized by the Laboratory for Labour Market Studies (LLMS) and the Centre for Labour Market Studies (CLMS) on March 14, 2017. Ekaterina presented her paper «Bridging or bonding? Preferences for redistribution and social capital in Russia» (co-authored by Denis Ivanov, Research Fellow at ICSID).
Alena Nefedova, a Junior Research Fellow at the Laboratory for Economics of Innovation of the HSE ISSEK, presented the results of the study of the export potential of Russian education at the research seminar of the Centre for Global Higher Education at the UCL Institute of Education, where she interned in the month of March.
Leonid Gokhberg, First Vice-Rector, Director of HSE ISSEK, Editor-in-chief of Foresight and STI Governance academic journal, describes its publishing strategy for Higher Education in Russia and Beyond issue covering the best practices of several Russian academic journals.
HSE ISSEK experts conducted a pilot study of the representation of Russian science in the media in order to understand to what extent contemporary Russian academic journals are included into or excluded from the general context of popular science communication. Constantine Sorokin, Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Senior Research Fellow at the International Laboratory of Decision Choice and Analysis at NRU HSE, presented his paper "Distributional comparative statics for auctions and beyond" (co-authored by Eyal Winter) on March 14, 2017.
This data book presents the results of statistical surveys characterising innovation processes in the economy of the country. It shows the dynamics of consolidated indicators, produced in accordance with modern international standards of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and Eurostat, showing the level of development of technological and non-technological innovation.
