The International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration held an online seminar on ‘Generative AI in the Academic Environment: a Tool of the Future or a Threat to the Academic Process?’ At the seminar, Research Assistant Yana Rybushkina spoke about artificial intelligence (AI) in the academic environment. 

During the event, Andrey Medvedev, Head of the Department of the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences, spoke about the analysis of the temperature of the underlying surface and the identification of objects based on high-detail thermal imaging.

This project, organized by the Moscow Department of Education and Science with the support of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence and other institutions, includes lectures, workshops, and educational intensives featuring science communicators and leading scientists from across Russia.

The Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University held a scientific seminar on digital economy research. Evgeny Styrin, Head of the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration at the HSE University made a presentation titled "Digital Transformation of Public Administration: Challenges and Opportunities". 

Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug is a major oil-producing region in Russia with a favorable demographic situation and a range of measures in place to support families with children. The reproductive attitudes of the population of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and the factors of their implementation were discussed at the seminar "Fertility and reproductive attitudes of the population of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug: results of an expedition trip", organized by the International Laboratory for Population and Health, HSE University.

The report was presented by Olga Rodina, a research assistant at the International Laboratory for Population and Health, a PhD student at the HSE Vishnevsky Institute of Demography.

During the event on December 28, 2024, Alexander Krenke and Mikhail Puzachenko, senior researchers at the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences, spoke about the heterogeneity of the territory on various scales in landscape and climatic zoning.

On November 21, 2024, the head of IDLab, Petr Parshakov, presented a report titled 'Gender, Results, and Prizes: A Study of Discrimination in the Pay of Women’s Teams in Esports' at the Scientific and Educational Laboratory for Sports Research at HSE University.

The Center for Social-Conservative Politics organized meeting of the Working Group «State-building and international activities» on the topic «Saving humanity: a Russian proposal». International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration Research Fellow Evgenii Diskin participated in it. During the round table, issues of protection of humanistic values of Russia, problems of understanding differences between classical liberalism of the Enlightenment era and neo-liberalism (wokeism), counteracting the spread of such ideological attitudes were considered. 

Research Fellow at the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Aisylu Ataeva acted as an official opponent at the defense of the dissertation of Irina Shorokhova on the topic «Influence of concentration effects on the innovative development of regions» for the degree of candidate of economic sciences. The defense was held at the meeting of the Dissertation Council 24.2.280.01 on economic sciences at the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education ‘Vladivostok State University’.
