The Laboratory for Comparative Social Research of the National Research University Higher School of Economics announces a call for the 10th LCSR International Workshop, which will be held within the XXI April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development. It will take place in Moscow from the 6th till 10th of April 2019. The deadline was extended. The last day to submit your paper is December 29, 2019.

Linguistic Convergence Laboratory, HSE, in Moscow, Russia, invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in the field of language contact; language corpora; typology; sociolinguistics; languages of the Caucasus; languages of Russia.

On November 27, "Golden Citation" ceremony was held in the HSE University in order to award the most cited HSE scholars. Ora John Edward Reuter, senior research fellow of ICSID, became one of the nominee of this award

On Wednesday, December 18 the all-Russian seminar "Mathematical methods of decision analysis in economics, finance and politics" was held. O. Savelzon gave a lecture on O. Savelzon on "On the project of rationalization of decision-making culture".

On December 10 Mandi Larsen (PhD, Lecturer, Jacobs University Bremen, the Coordinator of the Methods Center for the Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (BIGSSS)) took part in the "Culture matters" research seminar with the report "The connection between social cohesion and health: A multi-level analysis in Germany".

On December 4, a forum on developments in science, technology and innovation (STI) was held in Pretoria, South Africa. There, a 10-year development plan was presented, based on an S&T foresight commissioned by the South African government and developed by the HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge.
