From October 2020 to January 2021 there was online Arctic Opportunity Explorers Programme run by Sustainia (a global sustainability consulting company, headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark), HelloScience, and participating universities, with support from the Nordic Council of Ministers. Research assistant of DeCAn Yulia Skrupskaya took part in this programme.

Professor John W. Berry has been included in the recent Stanford University's list of 2% of the world's top scientists. The study analyzed data from 1965 to 2019, covering about 7 million scientists in 22 main fields of science. Most of those on the list work in Medicine and Technology. According to the list, among Canadian psychologists from all fields, prof. Berry is ranked # 3 on this list and # 1 among Canadian social psychologists.

Deputy director of the Center for Sociocultural Research Prof. Klaus Boehnke received the award "Outstanding Psychologist outside the United States" from the American Psychological Association (International Psychology - APA Division 52).

Fedor Bogomolov was invited to to become a member of the Academia Europaea for his outstanding achievements as a researcher.
