From November 21 to 23, members of the laboratory attended the 16th Conference on Typology and Grammar for Young Scholars which was held in Saint Petersburg.
On November 12-15, the Autumn school on modern methods and models of the individual and collective choice and decision-making theory with application to network data analysis, aggregation problems, influence indices was opened. The event is organized by the International Laboratory of Decision Choice and Analysis (DeCAn lab). Among the invited lecturers there are outstanding academics and researchers: Hans Peters (Maastricht University, Netherlands), Kanak Patel (Cambridge University, UK), Laszlo Koczy (Centre for Economic and Regional Studies, Hungary), Anna Khmelnitskaya (St Petersburg University, Russia), Peter Emerson (de Borda Institute, UK).
The HSE will host the first seminar on neuroeconomics, organized jointly with École normale supérieure (Paris). Neuroeconomics studies the decision-making process and uses economic approaches to study the brain and achieve neuroscience to adjust economic decision-making models.

On Wednesday, July 17 the all-Russian seminar "Mathematical methods of decision analysis in economics, finance and politics" was held. Professor Vadim Levit gave a lecture on "Critical and Maximum Independent Sets Revisited"

David Szakonyi, Assistant Professor of Political Science from George Washington University, recently attended the 8th Annual Conference of the International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) held at HSE University in Moscow this June. He has spoken to HSE News service about the conference and his cooperation with HSE University.
A workshop: “The Rise of State Capitalism: consequences for economic and political development” organized by ICSID and the European Association for Comparative Economic Studies (EACES) was held at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow on April 10-11, 2019.
As part of the Management session of the XX April International Conference, Carl F. Fey from Aalto University School of Business, Finland, presented his paper on Facilitating Innovation in Companies in Russia: The Role of Organizational Culture. In his talk, Professor Fey spoke about the results of three studies he has been conducting with his team.
