On March 27, Dirk Meissner, Head of the HSE ISSEK Laboratory for Economics of Innovation and Academic Supervisor of the HSE ISSEK Master’s Programme 'Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation', was awarded the honorary status of Distinguished Professor of Higher School of Economics. October 13-19, 2019 in Longyearbyen, Spitsbergen, the SVF-8063 School of Society and Advanced Technology in the Arctic, organized by the Arctic University of Norway (UiT), was held. Senior colleagues and research assistants of the DeCAn lab participated in it. Anna Rezyapova shared her impressions on her visit to Svalbard.

This summer and autumn, many faculties and institutes of HSE are changing addresses. In September ICSID moved to the cluster of NRU HSE on Myasnitskaya Street. Now the center is located on 18 Myasnitskaya Street, in the former house of Mishin, one of the best examples of the Moscow Art Nouveau. The buildings on Shabolovka will now be used by the Faculty of Business and Management.

Kyle Marquardt became an Assistant Professor in the School of Political Science at the Faculty of Social Sciences, and ICSID research fellow.

The 6th World Congress on Global Optimization (WCGO-2019) was held in the French city of Metz from July 8 to July 10, 2019. The event was held at the University of Lorraine (Université de Lorraine). Dmitry Frolov shared his impressions on his visit to Metz.
