On February 26, the Director of the HSE International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development, Andrei Yakovlev, celebrated his 50th birthday.

Two of the Area Editors have affiliation with National Research University Higher School of Economics — John Berry (co-head of International Scientific-Educational Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Research), and Peter Schmidt (former co-head of International Scientific-Educational Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Research).

The leading laboratory researcher Dmitry Malyshev was awarded the medal of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the field of mathematics for the series of works "Critical hereditary graph classes"
