On October 18, 2024, the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy held a research workshop, where Elena Shakina, senior researcher of the laboratory, and her co-author, junior researcher Evgeniya Shenkman, presented the report "Skills over credentials: wage premiums and remote work in the post-pandemic economy".

XIII International conference “Legal issues in the Digital age” was held by the Faculty of Law of the HSE University. Research Fellow of the The HSE University International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration Evgenii Diskin took a part in it.
The HSE scientific journal “Public Administration Issues” published an article “Composite indices for governing digitalization: Methods for construction” by Ivan Makarov, Research Assistant at HSE’s International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration.
The International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration of the Higher School of Economics held a round table "Development of Data-Centric Management in Russia". Within the framework of the event, reports were presented designed to reflect views on data-centric public administration from the academic environment, the public sector and business. In addition, the presentation of the collective monograph of the International Laboratory "Data–centric public administration: concept, risks, barriers" took place.
On October 4, 2024, the IDLab laboratory of HSE Perm, in collaboration with the School of Economics and Business at the University of Vigo (ECOBAS), held a workshop dedicated to studying the impact of credit supply on the capital structure of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Spain. The main speaker of the event was Diego Ayres, who presented a report titled "The Impact of Credit Supply on the Capital Structure of SMEs in Spain" — a joint study with Ángel Barajas.
Yuri Kabanov, a researcher at The HSE University International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration, took part in the International Conference on the Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance (ICEGOV – 2024), which was held from October 1-4 in Pretoria (South Africa).
Violetta Homyakova, a Research Assistant at the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration, participated in the annual «Economy & Management» (EMC) conference with a presentation on the topic «The Role of Digital Transformation of Public Administration in Achieving Sustainable Development of Regions».
Evgeny Styrin, the Head of the HSE University International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration, participated in the conference "Digital Petersburg - 2035", which was held on the eve of the International ICT Forum "IT Dialogue". Within the framework of the conference, expert sessions were held, where possible sections and the basis for the Strategy of St. Petersburg City until 2035 were discussed.
Researchers from HSE University have identified a connection between attachment to pets and attitudes toward nature and other people. The study found that the more joy people derive from interacting with their pets, the more they want to help others. However, love for animals is not always associated with concern for nature. The findings were published in the Social Psychology and Society journal.
This autumn, 55 early-career researchers will start working at HSE University's campuses in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, and Perm. All of them have undergone a rigorous selection process and aim to make significant progress in both science and personal development during their participation in the Russian Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme. This year, in addition to PhDs who are Russian citizens, HSE University welcomes their colleagues from Poland, Kazakhstan, and India who have earned their academic degrees from Russian universities. On September 17-18, orientation events were held for them at HSE University.
