International Summer School on Educational Finance

Israel Marques and Thomas Remington took part in the International Summer School on Educational Finance that was held on July 3-10 in Beijing. The event was organized by the China Institute for Educational Finance Research, Peking University (CIEFR) and HSE Institute of Education.

Marina Zavertiaeva presented preliminary results of her joint project with Felix Lopez-Iturriaga on the international conference “Networks in the Global World 2016” that was organized by Saint-Petersburg State University from 1 to 3 June, 2016. 

Workshop 'High-dimensional Statistics'

On July 20-21 an international workshop 'Nonparametric and High-dimensional Statistics' took place in Heidelberg, Germany. The event was organised by the Laboratory of Stochastic Analysis and its Applications, Research Training Group 'Statistical Modeling of Complex Systems and Processes' Heidelberg / Mannheim and MAThematics Center Heidelberg.

Psychological Well-being of Jewish Emigrants

On June 23th, Evgenia G. Nemirovskaya (MSc Psychology, prospective doctoral student at HSE) presented her report on Psychological Well-being of Jewish Emigrants at the research seminar 'Culture Matters'.

Field trip to Kaluga

On June 23, 2016, members of the ICSID team Thomas Remington, Israel Marques and Vladimir Bazavliuk visited the automobile plant of Volkswagen Group Rus and its vocational education facilities in the town of Kaluga.

In the XI International Forum on Knowledge Assets Dynamics “Towards a new architecture of Knowledge: Big Data, Culture & Creativity” which was held in Dresden (Germany), Anna Bykova has presented the study “Investigation of the corporate performance gap between foreign- and domestic-owned firms: the evidence from Russian companies” which was done in co-authorship with Carlos Jardon.
