2019 ASEEES Convention in San Francisco

51st Annual Convention of Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies was held in San Francisco (USA) on November 23-26, 2019. ICSID staff members Andrei Yakovlev, Ekaterina Borisova, Israel Marques, Amanda Zadorian and Guzel Gariffulina as well as ICSID associate fellows Michael Rochlitz and Alexander Libman took part in the convention.

Autumn School "The modern methods and models of the individual and collective choice and decision-making theory with application to network data analysis, aggregation problems, influence indices" was held at DeCAn lab

On November 12-15, the Autumn school on modern methods and models of the individual and collective choice and decision-making theory with application to network data analysis, aggregation problems, influence indices was opened. The event is organized by the International Laboratory of Decision Choice and Analysis (DeCAn lab). Among the invited lecturers there are outstanding academics and researchers: Hans Peters (Maastricht University, Netherlands), Kanak Patel (Cambridge University, UK), Laszlo Koczy (Centre for Economic and Regional Studies, Hungary), Anna Khmelnitskaya (St Petersburg University, Russia), Peter Emerson (de Borda Institute, UK).

An international conference  "Experimental Economics in Russia"  (#RExCon) was held at the occasion of opening of the new Experimental Economics Laboratory at Pokrovsky boulevard campus of the HSE.

On November 6, a joint research workshop of ID Lab and School of Economics and Finance was held. At the workshop Maria Molodchik presented the research "Intellectual resources and innovations of industrial companies: the role of the region and the industry"

Our faculty visited Arctic

October 13-19, 2019 in Longyearbyen, Spitsbergen, the SVF-8063 School of Society and Advanced Technology in the Arctic, organized by the Arctic University of Norway (UiT), was held. Senior colleagues and research assistants of the Higher School of Economics participated in it as students and teachers. There were also specialists and students from other countries. A number of disciplines were in the training course, including mathematics and data analysis. This is the second school of the “Arctic project” of the HSE DeCAn lab -the first one was held in 2018 in Tromsø, Norway.
