EACES seminar in Warsaw
ICSID Director Andrei Yakovlev took part in a seminar of the European Association for Comparative Economic Studies (EACES), which was held in Warsaw School of Economics on February 16, 2018. Professor Yakovlev presented his paper "Channels of communication between international business and national government: implementations for domestic reform and international relations".

Research Seminar on Diversity and Development

HSE International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) and NES Center for the Study of Diversity and Social Interactions held another session of their joint Research Seminar on Diversity and Development on February 6, 2018. ICSID research fellows took part in a workshop “Growth and Redistribution in Limited Access Orders” that was held at Ludwig-Maximilans-University of Munich on November 24-25, 2017. The workshop was organized by Alexander Libman and Michael Rochlitz together with ICSID.

DeCAn lab organized a visit of Professors M. Grabisch and A. Rusinowska-Grabisch from Centre d’Economie de la Sorbonne of University Paris I (France). On November 22 a course of lectures was held.

The Seventh International Academic Conference 'Foresight and STI Policy', traditionally organized by HSE ISSEK, took place in Moscow at the beginning of November. Mr Kato, the Director General of the National Institute of Science and Technology of Japan, was the key speaker at the event. He has talked to HSE News Service about his research interests, as well as about cooperation with HSE in the field of foresight research.

Seminar "Social and spatial connectivity and demographic change: Innovative analytical approach based on micro-level census data"

The seventh scientific seminar ‘Modern demography’, of International laboratory for population and health NRU HSE, was held on 18th of October. Sebastian Klüsener, deputy head of the Laboratory for fertility and social well-being of Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research, Rostock, Germany, presented a paper "Social and spatial connectivity and demographic change: Innovative analytical approach based on micro-level census data".
