In November, a delegation from HSE University visited Vietnam to strengthen and expand cooperation with leading universities in Hanoi. The delegation included representatives from the Faculty of Economic Sciences and the International College of Economics and Finance, as well as members of the International Partnership Office.
During the meetings, the Vietnamese partners expressed their enthusiasm for expanding cooperation with HSE University. A significant focus was placed on enhancing partnerships in the field of economics and finance. Sofia Sadykova, Deputy Head at the HSE International Partnerships Office, outlined the key formats for engagement with foreign partners. "HSE University is keen not only on fostering traditional student exchange programmes but also on initiating more comprehensive projects, such as establishing dual degree programmes and mirror laboratories. We invite colleagues who have recently earned an international PhD from our partner universities to participate in an open competition for a one-year position as young researchers under our Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme.
As has become a tradition, we opened the call for applications in November 2024. I am confident that participation in this programme offers a great opportunity to explore HSE University from within and forge lasting academic connections between universities across various research domains," emphasised Sofia Sadykova.
These partners include Vietnam National University Hanoi, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Foreign Trade University, and National Economics University. During their visit, the HSE delegation engaged in discussions about the outcomes of student exchanges with their current partners.
Dao Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Director of International Affairs at the Foreign Trade University, commended the exceptional academic background of HSE students currently participating in the exchange programme. "Their impressive academic performance and proactive attitude truly set HSE students apart from other international participants in our mobility programmes," remarked Dao Thi Thu Ha.
During a meeting with colleagues from the National Economics University (NEU), representatives from HSE University engaged in discussions about potential collaborative projects in the realm of economics and finance.

He expressed enthusiasm about the prospect of welcoming Vietnamese colleagues as guest lecturers at HSE University.
In response, NEU colleagues conveyed their keen interest in exploring the establishment of a dual degree programme in business and management, underscoring the unique significance of Russia and its educational system for Vietnam.
Natalia Kogutovskaya, Assistant Professor at the International Institute of Economics and Finance (ICEF), took the opportunity to present the International Programme in Economics and Finance for bachelor's students alongside the Master's Programme in Financial Economics to her Vietnamese counterparts. She invited Vietnamese researchers and students to participate in ICEF's international conferences and seminars focused on economics and finance.
