Meeting With Representatives Of University Of Genoa
On 18 June 2015 Vincenzo Bianco, Associate Professor of Energy Sciences and Mr. Angelo Musaio, Head of the International Relations Office from the University of Genoa (Università degli Studi di Genova), Italy visited the Higher School of Economics, Moscow.
The University of Genoa is a public university, founded in 1481.The visit was aimed to continue discussions on prospective cooperation between our universities.
The meeting was hosted by the HSE Office for International Cooperation (Marina Batalina and Alyona Sutormina), the Center for Industrial Market Studies and Business Strategies at the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge (Alexey Bereznoy, Director) and Institute of Pricing and Regulation of Natural Monopolies (Irina Zolotova, Deputy Director; Alexandra Kokorina, Lead Expert at Unit of Strategic Research in Infrastructure).
The participants from the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge and the Institute of Pricing and Regulation of Natural Monopolies put forward proposals for cooperation in the following areas: energy efficiency; energy policy; energy economics; development of joint training programmes for regulators; joint preparation of the Review of Italian Experience in Infrastructure Industries Regulation.
The meeting participants also discussed a possibility of joint research projects, exchanging expertise and information on topics of mutual interest as well as joint participation in the European Commission initiatives to foster academic cooperation.
The First Vice-rector Prof. Enrico Giunchiglia expressed the willingness of the University of Genoa to develop the academic cooperation by designing and concluding a Cooperation agreement to establish an official partnership framework. The parties agreed to further explore the possibilities of cooperation with other university departments and laboratories.
The HSE Office for International Cooperation together with the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge and the Institute of Pricing and Regulation of Natural Monopolies is working on a Cooperation Agreement and a respective implementation plan.
