Visit by Delegation from University of Exeter, UK to HSE
On 6th March 2017 the delegation from University of Exeter, UK headed by Professor Sir Steve Smith, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive visited HSE to sign the Student Exchange Agreement in humanities and discuss new opportunities for cooperation. The University of Exeter was also represented by Dr Shaun Curtis, Director, Global Engagement and Development and Dr Garret Maher, Assistant Head, International Partnerships, Europe, who participated in fruitful cooperation discussions with HSE departments. The meeting was hosted by HSE Office for International Cooperation and was opened with a brief HSE introduction by Vice Rector Ivan Prostakov and with a brief introduction of University of Exeter by Professor Sir Steve Smith who mentioned his interest in Project 5-100 and readiness to continue to build bridges in research and education between UK and HSE. Later Andrey Iserov, Associate Professor at School of History and Deputy Dean for International Affairs at Faculty of Humanities who has been very supportive of developing links with the University of Exeter spoke about their future plans for partnership development in the humanities. Ceremony of signing of the Student Exchange Agreement was complimented by proposals received from HSE faculties interested in joint research and publications in humanities, economics, finance, and mathematics, as well as in various international events, and students exchange in social sciences and humanities. Within their trip across the European continent the representatives from University of Exeter have also visited Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Russian Federation in his official residence in Moscow.
