Erasmus Mundus Action 2 project AURORA ended
Erasmus Mundus Action 2 project AURORA – Towards Modern and Innovative Higher Education has closed on 14.07.2016. Altogether 240 academic mobilities and visits were implemented throughout the project lifetime.
Visit by Delegation from the Mexican Ministry of Economics and Labour (Nuevo León State) to HSE, Moscow
On 16 September 2016 the delegation from the Mexican Ministry of Economics and Labour of the Government of Nuevo León State together with the representatives from the Embassy of Mexico to the Russian Federation came to Higher School of Economics, Moscow in the framework of their yearly working trip abroad.
Meeting with delegation of the University of Iceland
On June 10, 2016 the delegation of the University of Iceland together with the representatives from the Embassy of Iceland to the Russian Federation visited Higher School of Economics, Moscow. The delegation of University of Iceland was represented by Mr. Jón Atli Benediktsson, Rector, Mr.Jón Ólafsson, Professor of Comparative Cultural Studies, Mrs. Stefanía Óskarsdóttir, Associate Professor, School of Social Sciences, Faculty of Political Science, wife of Rector Benediktsson, Mr. Frierik Jónsson, son of Rector Benediktsson and Mrs. Óskarsdóttir. The Embassy of Iceland to the Russian Federation was represented by H.E. Mr. Albert Jónsson, Ambassador of Iceland to the Russian Federation, and Mrs. Irina Bolshakova.
HSE Saint Petersburg Signed Two Cooperation Agreements
At the third annual conference ‘Education and Global Cities: Horizons for Contemporary University’ two cooperation agreements were signed.
HSE to Partner with Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais
On September 24, an HSE delegation visited the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Belo Horizonte, Brazil). UFMG Rector Jaime Ramirez and the HSE Vice Rector for International Affairs, Sergei Erofeev, signed a Memorandum of Understanding that provides for collaboration in the areas of undergraduate and postgraduate studies, research, and student exchanges. It also supports summer and winter schools and partnerships in the form of co-supervision.
HSE Represented at EAIE Conference in Glasgow
From September 15 to 18, 2015, a delegation from HSE took part in The Annual EAIE Conference for the second time. This year international experts in higher education gathered in Glasgow.
International Staff Internships at HSE

Cooperation Established between HSE and LUISS University, Italy
On 8 June 2015 HSE hosted the delegation from the Guido Carli Free International University for Social Studies (LUISS Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli, Italy), led by Rector Prof. Massimo Egidi, aiming at cooperation development with Higher School of Economics and signing the Memorandum of Understanding between our institutions.
School of Software Engineering Takes Part in the Creation of Vietnamese-Russian Technological University
The Vietnam-Russia academic conference that took place in Hanoi in April decided to establish a Vietnamese-Russian Technological University (VRTU) on the basis of the Le Quy Don University of Science and Technology. HSE’s School of Software Engineering is to play a key role in this process.
