Key learning outcomes:
KLO-1: knows and understands the main concepts and models of economic, organisational and managerial theories in the context of international management problems.
KLOC-2: selects and uses tools to design, implement and evaluate the success of a company's strategic alternatives in the context of international competition and global economic and technological trends.
KLO-3: knows the basic principles of data management, has a basic understanding of modern data analysis tools and demonstrates the ability to select and use appropriate tools to solve specific management problems using modern digital technologies and information-analytical systems.
KLO-4: applies modern project management tools and social technologies in the organisation and execution of project teams related to professional and consultancy work in an international environment.
KLO-5: knows the key concepts and is proficient in modern marketing tools and is able to apply them to design and develop new business models, products and services in an international marketplace
KLO-6: has skills in conducting research in the field of international management, including analysis of international research papers, writing analytical reports on the conducted research, publicly defending the results obtained and preparing the text of the Master's thesis.

Description of the professional field:
Programme graduates are able to perform a wide range of organisational, managerial, information-analytical, financial, entrepreneurial, consultancy and research professional tasks in the context of digital business transformation. Programme graduates receive high quality training in the main areas of management, having the opportunity to strengthen their competencies in specific areas by building their individual learning path and planning individual learning outcomes. This enables graduates to work in Russian and foreign companies, international projects, international investment and venture funds, international non-profit organisations, and to hold the following positions in such companies and organisations:
- specialist of strategic development department;
- specialist of Marketing and Marketing Communications Department;
- specialist of the financial management department
- specialist of the investment and project management department
- specialist of the human resources management department
- specialist of the production department;
- Specialist of the Digital Transformation Department;
- member of project and product teams.
The competitiveness of graduates of the programme in the labour market is determined by a wide range of competencies acquired during the study programme, as well as the experience gained during the programme in an international environment. As a result of mastering the Programme, the graduate develops universal and professional competencies defined by the HSE Educational Standard (level of higher education - Master's programme), as well as professional competencies.

Description of educational modules:
The professional module (Major) forms the basis for future professional activity and consists of two parts: the basic professional block and the variable professional block. The basic professional block forms the basis for future professional activity, contributing to the acquisition of comprehensive knowledge in the field of global strategic management and international economy and developing general professional competences of a student in conducting research in management, including the following disciplines:
- Global Strategic Management;
- International Economics;
- Research Methods in International Management.
The Professional Block includes compulsory and elective disciplines. Compulsory disciplines in a number of key areas of management (operations management, marketing, financial management) with a focus on the global nature of international companies, as well as disciplines in new business models in the digital economy and business analytics. Pools of elective disciplines allow students to shape their individual educational trajectories and develop their competences in the various functional areas of management that are of most interest to them in terms of professional and career development.Mandatory disciplines:

The Key Seminar module is designed to design personal learning outcomes and to coordinate learning activities for students' mastery of the education programme. In addition to the common Mentor Seminar aimed at identifying individual learning outcomes and designing individual learning plans for students, this block includes a number of research seminars aimed at providing students with an insight into international best practice and research on various aspects of international management:
- Research Seminar "Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Aspects in International Management";
- Research Seminar "Talent Management";
- Research Seminar "Technology Innovation Management";
- Research Seminar "Skills for Master's Thesis Preparation";
- Project Seminar "Building Successful International Teams".
The module "MagoLego" is aimed at forming additional competences necessary for a student to master the individual curriculum. All the disciplines of the university-wide Master's pool are available for students to choose the disciplines in the module "MagoLego". The practical module forms the student's competences in solving applied problems and conducting research in the field of international management and includes professional and project practice.
Professional practice is implemented through an internship and is aimed at gaining work experience, participation in business processes and projects in international companies and organizations, as well as giving students the opportunity to collect empirical information about international companies for writing the graduate qualification work.
Project-based practice is aimed at providing students with the skills to solve specific applied business or research problems in the field of international management and includes
- management consulting for an international company in the field of strategic business transformation (1st year);
- coursework (1st course);
- Consultancy project (2nd year);
- Preparation of the final qualification work (2nd year).
The State Final Attestation (SFA) module includes the defence of the student's final qualification work and allows assessing the degree of achievement of the educational programme results.

Programme Modules

Designed to give students the knowledge and skills required to work as professional managers in a highly competitive digitalized world, the programme’s curriculum is based on three interrelated modules:

Students enrolled in the programme take a combination of required core courses—International Economics, Global Strategic Management, and Research Methods in Management—as well as a series of elective courses. Through the programme, students gain expertise and practical experience in four key areas:

  • Marketing and operations in modern multinational companies

Taught entirely in English, the programme requires students to study abroad at a leading international business school (partners of HSE). This requirement enables students to enhance their educational experience and jumpstart their professional and personal development.
