Moscow Jam Festival, August 8-17, 2014
Would you like to try zucchini and lemon jam? You are welcome on Tverskaya Ploshchad – the ‘Window to Paris’ brings together specialties from French confectioneries. Try cactus jam on Manezhnaya Ploshchad, and aubergine jam in Novopushkinsky Skver. Enjoy traditional Moscow foxberry jam on Klimentovsky Pereulok. If you’re a real gourmet, don’t miss watermelon rind and mulberry jam at the Oriental Bazaar on the Arbat.
In addition, the festival will feature sand sculptures, gingerbread master classes, giant chess, painting classes, tasting a giant jam pie (over 3 metres in diameter!), a women’s volleyball championship, a battle of the chefs, and many other activities. Representatives from twelve countries are coming to the event, including Italy, Thailand, Israel, France, Mexico, Greece, Spain, and Belgium.
