Velonotte (Bike Night) 2014
The first Velonotte (from Italian bike+night) took place in Moscow in 2007. Organized by a team headed by Sergey Nikitin, a renowned Moscow scholar of urban history, Velonotte has become an annual event where people spend the night on bicycles exploring the city’s monuments, historical buildings and secret places. This year the event is returning to Moscow. Velonotte will be dedicated to Alexander Pushkin, who published his first poem 200 years ago at the age of 15. Leading historians of Moscow and Russian culture will provide commentary during the trip, which will be broadcast on Mayak FM radio station.
