The Old Apartment Exhibition at Museum of Moscow

‘The Old Apartment’ exhibition brings to life the interiors of Moscow apartments through the use of artifacts and documents from the Museum of Moscow’s collection.

You’ll travel back a century and as you move from one ‘room’ to another, you’ll move from one epoch to another. The households and atmosphere of bygone times are reproduced in minute detail, so that visitors can really visit a pre-revolutionary worker’s room, a communal flat from the 1920s, and a typical kitchen from the Perestroika days.

The creators of the ‘The Old Apartment’ exhibition have managed to tell an accurate and impressive story about the past century, focusing on the lives of ordinary Muscovites.
