Masks and QR-Codes No Longer Required in Moscow Public Places

A range of COVID restrictions have been lifted across the city.

Masks and QR-Codes No Longer Required in Moscow Public Places

In accordance with the order of the Mayor of Moscow lifting a range of COVID-related restrictions, it is no longer obligatory to wear masks at HSE University’s Moscow campus.

The city-wide lifting of restrictions also includes the end of obligatory mask-wearing and social distancing on all forms of public transport, as well as in public places, workplaces, and at public events.

Moscow has also ended its QR-code requirements for visiting theatres and museums, as well as entertainment, cultural and sporting events.

The over-60s and those with chronic illnesses are advised—but not required—to stay at home, and anyone who wishes to continue wearing masks can continue to do so.
