‘The Study Abroad Trip to Moscow Was a Life Changing Experience’

Sheah Hilton, Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA), student of the SPEA-HSE summer school in Moscow

The Higher School of Economics is filled with professors actively involved in shaping the future of Russia.  Every day, the lectures offered perspective and insight into a country that is continually evolving.  Questions about housing, the non-profit sector, and the future state of the economy were answered by individuals who were actually developing policy on the subjects.

The faculty was also very supportive and welcomed dialogue and questions throughout their lessons.  I believe the opportunity to live in the dorms, and travel to class everyday also makes you feel a part of the city.

I would recommend studying in Moscow at the Higher School of Economics to anyone interested in broadening their knowledge of Russia, or its ties with America and Europe.  I hope to return in the future to study at HSE again.
