This autumn, six HSE University students helped develop the HSE University portal, including the Life in Moscow website. All of them study at the School of Foreign Languages in Moscow. At the end of their internship, we asked the participants to share some of their favourite places to spend leisure time, do sports, and have fun in the wintry Russian capital. Below, Diana and Mary talk about a secret photo booth and invite everyone to attend a free Christmas play performed in English.

Moscow's weekends are getting a fitness boost with the city's initiative, Sport Weekends. This programme offers residents of all ages the opportunity to participate in free group training sessions led by professional coaches. From yoga and aerobics to TRX and functional training, these sessions are designed to promote a healthy lifestyle and foster community spirit. Sport Weekends aims to make fitness accessible to everyone, turning leisure time into a chance for health and connection.

What do two Russian artists from different cities have in common? Where can you see both giant and miniature masterpieces? Is creativity inherited? All the answers to these questions and many more can be found at the Tretyakov Gallery and the New Tretyakov Gallery this autumn. Art lovers and guests touring the capital can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Russian impressionism, explore the image of Russia through the works of famous artists’ dynasty, and discover the true power of art.

On October 11, 2024, the third exhibition GRADUATION'24 opened at the Parking Gallery of Zaryadye Park. More than 200 promising artists from 22 Moscow institutions are participating in the event. The exhibition features various works from modern painting to computer games created by graduates of different tracks of HSE Art and Design School.

SCIENCE 0+ Festival will take place in Moscow from October 11 to 13 at various venues throughout the city. The Science Festival covers a variety of topics such as health, chemistry, language, society, sustainable development, and engineering.
