New Year and Christmas is a special time of year. We celebrate with a feeling that we are witnessing a miracle. It is a time when we think about our past and our future. But it is also a holiday which we celebrate with everybody: the world, the country, our colleagues, friends and family.

Moscow's music scene is hit and miss. Onerous paperwork and high venue costs mean that foreign acts of mid-range fame could not make it pay in Russia even if they wanted to come. This leaves the Moscow concert-goer with two choices: blockbuster nostalgic stadium shows or familiarisation with the lively local music scene.

There’s a place in Moscow which has attracted me for a long time: the famous ‘Mosfilm’ film studio. It offers excursions around its museum and premises, so when I saw their advertisement, I immediately phoned and booked a place in the next group.
