On November 9, 2016 HSE held a Mexican Day of the Dead Celebration. The event was organized by the Mexican community at HSE and the International Student Support Unit with the support of the Embassy of Mexico in Russia.

On October 20-30, the VI International Film Festival of Science and Technology 360° will take place in Moscow. The festival’s programme is comprised exclusively of documentaries relating to science, technology, and new ideas on the world and society. HSE has partnered with the festival several times in the past, organising lecture series and holding discussions on the exciting films screened at the event. And this festival, which is being organised for the sixth time already, will not be an exception.

On 10th February the exhibition of light installations, holograms and OptoClones®, ‘Magic of Light’ organised by ITMO University, St Petersburg and the Hellenic Institute of Holography opened to the public at the Saltykov-Chertkov mansion on Myasnitskaya Ulitsa. HSE has contributed some of the works in the exhibition.

Anticipating the coming Thanksgiving Day we made a list of American diners in Moscow that will offer traditional dinner with waldorf salad, roasted turkey and pumpkin pie on November 27. Some of these restaurants offer take away options for those who prefer to celebrate the day at home.

An exhibition entitled ‘Oscar Wilde. Aubrey Beardsley. The View from Russia’ is currently being shown at the Pushkin Museum. It features pieces by Aubrey Beardsley together with works by Russian artists from the late 19^th and early 20^th centuries, whom he influenced.
