Sports at HSE

Sport and tourism are very popular with students and teachers at HSE. There are HSE championships in football, volleyball, basketball, competitions in extreme sport and tourist adventures, and tennis etc. HSE students compete against other Moscow student teams in football, volleyball, basketball and swimming.

The university actively encourages hiking and water tourism. In the summer vacation, students and professors navigate the rivers of Siberia and climb in the Caucasus mountains with HSE Extreme Sports club (the site is in Russian).

Ultimate Frisbee is particularly popular.

HSE provides students with access to sports facilities. HSE international students have free access to the university gym which is located at MIEM HSE campus at 3 Bolshoy Trekhsvyatitelskiy pereulok (metro stations Kitay-gorod or Kurskaya).

A small gym is located on the 4th floor of the dorm on Studencheskaya Street.

You can play table tennis on the first floor of the dorm and near the dorm there is a soccer field.

There are plenty of fitness centers around the dorms and in the vicinity of other HSE buildings.
