Course Syllabus

Abstract

Курс по выбору “Modernism and the Little Magazine” ориентирован на студентов-филологов, желающих углубить свои знания о модернизме и авангарде в истории литературы и усовершенствовать свой аналитический инструментарий. Курс посвящен истории модернизма, рассказанной сквозь призму истории ‘little magazines’ — модернистских журналов. Предметом разговора станет широкий круг англоязычных модернистских и авангардистских журналов, начиная с “The Yellow-Book” в Лондоне и “The Chap-Book” в Чикаго в 1890-е годы, и до парижского “transition” в 1930-е годы. Поскольку модернистские журналы – одно из наиболее активно развивающихся направлений в исследованиях модернизма, историческая перспектива курса, определяющая характер изложения, дополняется теоретической, в том числе в русле digital humanities. Оценка по курсу складывается из участия в семинарских занятиях, групповых или индивидуальных проектов.
