Course Syllabus
Abstract
The proposed course will outline the principles of developing and protecting electronic reporting materials using automated software tools. Software tools such as pandoc, LaTeX, doxygen and docbook will be discussed. Practical tasks and exercises will be offered.

- Studying the principles of creating electronic documents, as well as their protection;
- Getting acquainted with modern means of processing electronic documents;
- Acquiring the skills of effective formation of electronic documents;
- Gaining skills in organizing the protection of electronic documents
Expected Learning Outcomes
- ability to independently build algorithms, analyze and implement them in modern software systems.

Course Contents
- 1. Preparation of reporting materials: scope of application, existing regulatory framework, USPD (unified system for the preparation of program documentation).
- 2. Preparation of reporting materials: principles of document structuring, main sections of documents, methods of presentation of the results.
- 3. Basic methods of markup of textual documents. Common data presentation formats. The principle of separating the stages of data creation and presentation.
- 4. Tools for converting documents into different presentation formats. Pros and cons of modern reporting systems. Examples of programs: doxygen, docbook, pandoc, libreoffice, etc.
- 5. LaTeX markup language. Basic capabilities, settings for data presentation. Interaction with external executable modules. BibTeX.
- 6. Methods of representing data in LaTeX (tables, graphs, building complex functions).
- 7. The principles of protection of electronic documents. Existing software tools, designed for signing and encrypting data. Possibilities of PDF format.
- 8. National standards for protecting electronic documents.
