Course Syllabus

Abstract

The academic discipline "Strategic Analysis" is aimed at developing the necessary amount of fundamental and applied knowledge for students for a successful strategic analysis of the company's activities in conditions of high dynamics and uncertainty of the external environment. The course includes a combination of theoretical and practical classes. Practical classes are aimed at developing skills and abilities to use methods of strategic analysis in the process of making strategic decisions and innovative development of the organization. In the process of studying the discipline, the method of case analysis and other interactive methods are used.

  • The course is aimed at providing basic knowledge and developing students' skills in the field of strategic management, in particular, creation, evaluation, analysis, application, interpretation, reproduction: • modern approaches and trends in management; • classical models of strategic analysis of the external and internal environment; • the main provisions of the resource concept in strategic analysis; • strategic potential and competitive position of the company, identification of sources of sustainable competitive advantages.

    Exam takes place at class, student has to unswer the questions and has time to prepare. Evaluated from 0 to 10 points.

    The student actively performs tasks in the classroom, asks questions, gives answers to questions.
