Abstract
This course is designed to provide an overview of major theories in communication science along with its practical applications. The course focuses on the theoretical approaches, research methods and real-life cases of communication theory as a discipline. It is suited for undergraduate students in various fields and for communication practitioners who want to improve their practical approach through the knowledge of theoretical basis. Major goal of this course is to provide the theoretical grounds in communication studies and its practical implications. By the end of the course students will be familiar with the role of theory in communication studies, key traditions of communication theory as well as the key influencers from different from communication academic fields.
