Abstract

Lie theory plays a crucial role in modern mathematics due a huge number of applications in various fileds of mathematics and physics (mathematical and theoretical). The goal of the course is to study the main classes of Lie groups and Lie algebras. We will also describe the basic ingredients of their representation theory.
