Abstract
In the corpus of Buddhist writings there are canonical and non-canonical texts. Mongolians translated texts of both kinds and most of them more than once. Parallel reading and comparing various Mongolian translations with their Tibetan originals, their textological, linguistic, philological analysis and historical description can contribute to such researching issues as the formation of Mongolian corpus of Buddhist terms, the influence of translations on literary language and help to trace the development of Mongolian language for seven centuries.
