Course Syllabus

Abstract

This course provides an overview of the supply chain planning processes and systems (Advanced Planning and Scheduling, APS) and in-depth examples of applying particular types of planning information systems at different levels of the supply chain planning hierarchy. The students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience for solving planning problems using APS, as well as to learn from case studies of APS implementation worldwide

Assessment Elements

Assessment Elements

  • non-blocking Homework
    The grade is calculated as the 10 * sum of points obtained for submitted homework divided by the total points for all assigned homework.
  • blocking Project
    The goal of the final project is a practical application of the skills gained in the course
  • non-blocking Participation
    The participation points are awarded for taking part in class discussions and for solving problems. The grade is calculated as the sum of obtained points. If the result exceeds 10, it is truncated at 10.
  • non-blocking Quiz
    The grade is calculated automatically as the sum of points for each assignment in the quiz. If a quiz is not submitted, the grade for it is 0. The quiz is offered during the last seminar.
  • non-blocking Presentation
    The goal of the presentation – to discuss the practical experience of using APS systems in the field of Logistics and SCM.
