Course Syllabus
Abstract
A modern specialist in the field of management and management consulting should have practical skills in data analysis in spreadsheets, data visualization and preparing high-quality presentations. The course covers the most popular management consulting tools and best practices for data structuring, working with tables, financial modeling, preparing graphs and presentations. All business activities involve risk. The profit a firm generates, among other factors, depends greatly on how successful it is at transforming capital and managing its finances. Understanding the concept of financial markets and their products, their role in national and global economies is very important for any business professional. It is the function of firm’s financial managers and treasures to recognize and assess financial risks, set a policy of dealing with them and to execute that policy in the financial markets if needed.
Learning Objectives
- Obtaining basic theoretical and practical knowledge about management consulting, developing skills of implementing consulting projects, including selection and application appropriate methods of data gathering and analysis, elaboration and presentation results and recommendations
- Obtaining general knowledge of the nature, structure and the importance of financial markets and their influence on economic growth. Gaining an understanding of financial risks to the businesses, methods of how these risks can be dealt from financial markets perspective.
Expected Learning Outcomes

- Able to prepare and manage the consultancy project.
- Create and defend a customized consulting project based on data and analytics given
- Have the skill to design and complete a consulting project from start to finish.
- Able to develop proposals and recommendations for applied research and consulting
- Ability to recognize and understand basic and more complex concepts and notions in regards to financial markets and investment activities
- Ability to navigate through available financial instruments, know their nature, function and characteristics
