Course Syllabus
Abstract
The postgraduate seminar runs throughout the entire period of study and includes modules aimed at developing skills in designing political science research and preparing a dissertation research plan. It also focuses on mastering academic writing and preparing scientific articles, as well as discussing the theoretical and empirical components of dissertation research. The seminar introduces modern approaches and methods for conducting political science research within both positivist and interpretive paradigms. It teaches the basic principles of academic writing and develops practical skills in planning research and presenting results through written texts and oral presentations. Within the framework of the seminar, graduate students have unique opportunities to discuss their dissertation research at various stages – from forming the initial idea and developing the methodology to testing and presenting their results.
