Course Syllabus
Abstract
Investment Management course gives an overview of what corporate investment decisions involve. The content of the course provides students with tools and techniques for an investment projects appraisal, along with forecasting project's cash flows and cost of capital and managing project risks. Over the course, students learn how to deal with risks associated with corporate investment decisions and their effect on project valuations. It prepares students for generating project proposals
and incorporating market assumptions into the model forecasts. Problem solving tasks, cases and a group project
(financial modelling in Excel) used in the course demonstrate the real-world applications of investment management concepts in the current market conditions.
Learning Objectives
- To provide students with tools and techniques for investment projects appraisal, along with forecasting project cash flows and cost of capital and managing project risks.

- To determine project's risk and calculate a project's discount rate
