Course Syllabus
Abstract
BUSINESS ETHICS Course Outline Business ethics course introduces how to apply ethical theory and practice to business management. It helps to develop analytical skills for permission of ethical dilemmas on a workplace. The aim of this course is to provide students with a base for reflection on topics related to both personal and business ethics. Coverage includes foundations of ethics in general, in management and in business; ethical theories and tests. Learning objectives: • Demonstrate a theoretical and critical understanding of the understanding salient theories, principles and concepts explaining ethical business environment • Critically analyse the ethical environment of an organization/industry and evaluate the ethical constraints and opportunities facing an organization/industry • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the ethical business environment • Become familiar with the benefits of corporate social responsibility in the context of globalized economic and social relations • Identify consequences of unethical business activities
Learning Objectives
- Course Objectives After this course you should be able 1. To argue about vital ethical issues using sound theory and strong logic instead of emotions and conventional moral. 2. To resist from making an error in a situation of ethical choice and persuading others from making it. 3. To explain any observable behavior of businessmen and managers in real situations of ethical choice. 4. To manage CSR behavior of your company using modern concepts and instruments (designing ethical codes, measurement and management systems for ethical conduct, preparing social reports). 5. To critically analyze the ethical environment of an organization/industry and evaluate the ethical constraints and opportunities facing an organization/industry
