Course Syllabus

Abstract

This course introduces students to the concept of sustainable development. Students will be involved in the discussion of the most significant global economic, environmental and social problems, get acquainted with the process of forming the concept of sustainable development, global sustainable development goals, get a comprehensive understanding of the circular economy and its business models, get acquainted with domestic and foreign experience in their implementation, study examples of the formation of reports on sustainable development by leading Russian and foreign companies.

  • Formation of an understanding of the need to move from traditional models of economic development to a sustainable type of development, the ability to take into account the role of environmental and social factors in management decisions making to ensure long-term life-sustaining development of society.
