Course Syllabus
Abstract
The course gives students the general information about the project management. The aim of the course is to develop skills in the field of project management and to provide students with knowledge necessary for the implementation of the project in commercial and non-profit sector.
Learning Objectives
- Students learn about implementation of project work
- Students learn how to estimate duration and cost of the project
- Students learn to manage projects using special programs
- Students learn about agile approach and scrum framework
- Students learn about team-building skills
Expected Learning Outcomes
- To be able to define a scope of a project and state the project problem
- To understand the stages of the project cycle
- To understand the main constraints of project activities
- To be able to identify project environment and project risks
- To be able to assess and manage the project risks
- To be able to set goals in teams and delegate the tasks
- To be able to use different tools for the design-thinking and problem-solving
- To be able to monitor project activities and assess progres
- To be able to estimate the necessary resources for the project and their costs
- To be able to organize effective teamwork with task, velocity and performance tracking based on PMBOK, Agile, Scrum
- To be able to write a project plan

- Individual reportStudents should write Project plan by using different tools and techniques which were discussed on the tutorials. The plan should be conducted, firstly, in MS Project. Then a student should form a report. The report should be done individually.
