Course Syllabus
Abstract
The course goal is to develop project-oriented mindset as well as acquire technical skills in project management. Key project management approaches and frameworks are being discussed, including project scope, time, cost, quality, risk, procurement, team, communications, stakeholders management
Learning Objectives
- The course is aimed at acquiring knowledge in project management fundamentals: key terms, concepts and frameworks.
Expected Learning Outcomes
- Basic knowledge of project-oriented activities, domains, PM frameworks and standards
- Knowledge and skills in developing a project cost sheet, budget, financial KPIs development; performance measurement
- Knowledge and skills in developing a project network diagram, calendar plan, applying critical path method, project duration calculation
- Knowledge and skills in developing a project organizational structure, determining project roles and responsibilities
- Knowledge and skills in developing project product requirements
- Knowledge and skills in project risk identification, analysis and responding
- Knowledge and skills in structuring project scope, defining project intermediate deliverables
- Knowledge in developing approaches to procurement and contracting in project and types of contracts
- Knowledge in tracking project progress, change management and applying adjustments
- Knowledge of Initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing processes; knowledge of project lifecycles stages/ phases
