Course Syllabus
Abstract
The course designed to provide an understanding of the basic microeconomic and macroeconomic drivers of economic development. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with conceptual and analytical tools to interpret current global macroeconomic events, with a view to assessing their impact on economic development prospects in the long run.The course has a modular structure, where each of the three modules is self-contained and has a pre-defined set of learning objectives. In each module, the presentation of economic theory will be explained with reference to current events. Introductory courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics are pre-requisites for this course.
