Course Syllabus
Abstract
The course will draw attention to national economic models of each BRICS country and BRICS economies in general, also on prospects for further development and cooperation in the group. Students will also learn broadly about other aspects of development of BRICS economies through readings in the syllabus.
Learning Objectives
- Students in the MA program are expected to learn methods for research and apply them in preparation of the academic papers
- The study of the key social and economic features of the development in Asian countries
- Analysis of trends and crises of the world economic systems, as well as exploratory and normative forecasts of its future
- Identification of patterns of economic development of Asian countries
- To identify the reasons for the change in regional dynamics and to understand the potential of the current rise of Asian countries
Expected Learning Outcomes
- Students in the MA program are expected to learn methods for research and apply them in preparation of the academic papers

Course Contents
- Module 1: learning operating with statistical data bases and research development. Ethical review of artificial intelligence in modern Asian countries
- Module 2: focusing on methods available for the Research in Oriental Studies
- Module 3: Develop personal academic and public position concerning the discussed scientific socio-economic issues.
- Module 4: Designing the methods of the research, preparing literature review
