Course Syllabus

Abstract

The program is aimed at students of the educational program “Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication” who learn Chinese as a second foreign language. The program follows all the requirements to form communicative competence in a foreign language. The discipline corresponds to the basic part of the professional cycle.

Learning Objectives

  • The aim of the discipline is to equip students with the ability to communicate effectively in Chinese (develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills), foster cultural understanding, enhance cognitive abilities and promote personal growth. Proficiency in the Chinese language will allow students to solve professional tasks of pedagogical, scientific, research, translation and other activities at the level corresponding to the level of the standardized Chinese language qualification exam - HSK 1-2.

  • -knows hieroglyphic writing in the volume corresponding to the studied language material
  • has educational and cognitive competence: skills of independent work, as well as systematization of the studied material, including using information technologies.
  • knows the monetary system of the PRC.
  • knows the names of some household items.
  • knows the names of the countries of the world and a number of countries in Chinese.
  • knows the main dishes of Chinese cuisine, knows how to make orders and pay in Chinese restaurants
  • Is able to support a basic conversation on the topic of family: to represent family members, to name names, age, profession and occupation, etc
  • is able to apply the acquired knowledge and competently build communication based on the goals and situation of communication.

  • Introductory phonetic course. (4) Acquaintance.
  • Introductory phonetic course. (5) Household items.
  • Introductory phonetic course. (6) The story of the family: family members, the question of the name, surname, the question of age. Professions and occupation.
  • Basic course. (7) Familiarity: introducing yourself. Study. Country names.
  • Basic course. (8) Public spaces and spatial orientation. Movement around the city and types of transport. University campus.
