Course Syllabus
Abstract
The course forms understanding of the relationship between the business processes, which take place in an organization, and the reflection of these business processes in the financial statements. The purpose of the discipline is to form students' modern economic thinking, knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the analysis of the financial position and performance of an enterprise, understanding of the main indicators used in this analysis, as well as understanding the risks associated with the operating activities of the enterprise. Within the framework of this discipline students will learn the structure of the main forms of financial reporting, characteristics of typical assets and liabilities, the relationship between various financial indicators. The course also provides an introduction to the basics of business valuation and value management.
