Course Syllabus

Abstract

In the course, you will learn how test items are created and assessment criteria are designed. You will analyse existing tests, both national and international, and understand how receptive and productive skills can be assessed. We will discuss the limitations of formal testing and speak about formative and alternative assessment. You will understand how assessments are aligned with course content and objectives. You will plan a course and design assessments with psychometric characteristics in mind, trying to implement digital instruments for the purpose. To take the course, you are expected to have C1 level in the English language. The course is for students specialising in Linguistics and Teaching/ Pedagogy.
