Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course “Italian 1” aims to solve the following tasks: development of speech (pragmatic) competence aimed at developing and improving communication skills in four types of speech activity (speaking, listening, reading and writing); the ability to plan one's speech behavior adequately owns a communicative case; 2) development and improvement of linguistic competence aimed at systematization of learned material; mastering of language means (phonetic, spelling, lexical, grammatical) based on authentic material; development of skills in operating with language units for communicative purposes; 3) development and improvement of sociocultural (sociolinguistic) competence aimed at increasing the amount of knowledge and improving the skills necessary to use the language in situations of communication with representatives of another culture, the ability to look for ways out of situations of communication failure due to sociocultural interference in communication.As the course is for those who start learning Italian, the syllabus is in English for your convenience. However, the course will be taught fully in Italian, with the consideration of your level, because there are both local and international students who do not share a common first language.

  • Listening and reading: can understand - the gist of short recorded texts (tempo not very fast), - the gist and details of short written texts related to the topic under study Speaking: - can make up a monologue (focusing on narrative), - can participate in a dialogue (focusing on questions). Writing: - can write an email to a friend, - can write a letter to relatives.
  • is able to produce simple, coherent texts about topics with which they are familiar or in which they have a personal interest

    Current control of oral speech is carried out in the following forms: monologic and dialogic statements on the subject of the course, performance of tasks for general/detailed understanding of the sounding text.

    Current control of written speech is carried out in the following forms: production of a written text in accordance with the communicative task, performance of tasks for general / detailed understanding of the written text, lexical and grammatical tests on the material studied

    Consists of a written test and an oral interview on the topics studied in the semester
