Abstract
This course bridges theoretical macroeconomics with practical applications using artificial intelligence. It covers designing a consistent macroeconomic framework, identifying key imbalances, and developing policy measures to address them. Through interaction with an AI counterpart, hands-on exercises, and case studies, students will learn to analyze macroeconomic aggregates of a representative country, and design its fiscal, monetary, financial, exchange rate, trade, and structural policies. This course is particularly beneficial for graduate students seeking careers in the public sector (central banks, finance/economy ministries, development agencies), private sector (investment banks, insurance, consultancies), international organizations (IMF, World Bank, WTO), academia (universities, think tanks, institutes), and other fields (media portals, rating agencies). Students are expected to have solid foundations in macroeconomics and international economics, be fluent in both spoken and written English and Russian and have access to any Generative AI platform.
