Students will learn specialized business and economic expressions and the principles of business correspondence in Chinese. Class meetings will focus on the topic of the week and authentic materials, where we work through vocabulary, sentence structures, text reading and conversations, as well as its application in the real business world environment. The overall goal of this course is to bring students’ Chinese proficiency to a more advanced level and help them build upon their fundamental Chinese language communication skills by using professional and formal business tool such as letters, reports, and oral presentations in structured business environments.
