Abstract
The project seminar has a practical focus and aims at preparing students for the implementation of a management consulting project for an external client - a large company facing complex external challenges that require strategic business transformation. Within the seminar, students apply the knowledge and skills acquired in various courses in the field of strategic management, financial management and marketing and other. As a part of the seminar, students master the basics of organizing and conducting a management consulting project, key practical methodologies and tools used in similar consulting projects.
Learning Objectives
- The aim of this course is to equip students with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge necessary for the successful implementation of management consulting projects in real-world settings.
Expected Learning Outcomes
- The student is able to articulate what management consulting is, including its core principles, objectives, and the services offered to businesses.
- The student analyze unfamiliar topics and industries effectively by employing research skills, analytical thinking, and adaptability to learn and apply relevant consulting methodologies in diverse business contexts.
- Students will analyze a consulting scenario and develop a proposal that incorporates AI tools to solve specific client problems, demonstrating the benefits outlined in their discussions.
- Students will discuss major ethical considerations surrounding AI, including issues of bias, privacy, accountability, and transparency.
- Students will apply AI in consulting, focusing on areas like big data analysis, predictive analytics, and process automation.
- Students will develop a comprehensive change implementation plan for an organization, clearly outlining strategic steps, resource requirements, and timelines.
