ESG Transformation of Business
- Explains the relationship between corporate, ESG and financial strategies of companies and analyzes corporate models based on them, taking into account the best practices of sustainable development (COR 1);
- Analyzes the practice of compiling financial and non-financial statements and develops a methodology for applying these indicators to collect and analyze Big Data based on modern digital technologies (COR 2);
- Develops an analytical tool for assessing operational efficiency at all stages of the life cycle of companies (COR 3);
- Develops financial models used to predict the operational and investment performance of the company (COR 4);
- Analyzes the methodology for compiling and modeling ESG ratings and the practice of their application in the disclosure of non-financial indicators of companies (COR 5);
- Implements methods for assessing ESG risks and financial risks and, taking them into account, develops methods for assessing sources of sustainable financing based on financial technologies (COR 6).
- Able to develop investment projects in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals and assess their direct and indirect effects (PC 1);
- Able to analyze non-financial statements of the company and use its data in predictive work (PC 2);
- Able to assess the company's ESG risks and model their ESG ratings (PC 3);
- Able to develop a risk management policy and algorithm for ESG transformation of companies (PC 4);
- Able to develop financing tools for the sustainable development of the company (PC 5);
- Able to carry out applied research of ESG transformation practices of companies (PC 6).
The Master's degree program structure includes the following educational modules:
1. The Key seminars module is intended to provide the student with an introduction to best practices and/or research relevant to their learning path, coordinated by their mentor.
2. The Practical Module (hereinafter referred to as the Practice) forms the student's competencies, which allow solving practical problems of the chosen professional activity, including design, research, entrepreneurial, expert and analytical. The preparation of the WRC is also carried out as part of the development of the "Practice" module.
3. The Professional Module (hereinafter - Major) provides an opportunity to master the professional competencies necessary to achieve personal educational results of students. It includes the basic disciplines of the direction in econometrics, macroeconomics, the theory of finance, a block of basic disciplines of specialization, and the disciplines of the variable part are also included in accordance with the curriculum of the trajectory of the direction.
4. The Additional Module (hereinafter referred to as the Mago-Lego) gives the student the opportunity to obtain additional competencies that allow personalizing the IEP at the request of the student.
5. The Module of the Final State Certification (hereinafter referred to as the FSC) allows the student to set the level of results of mastering the EP by the student and includes the defense of the final qualifying work (FQW) - the Master Thesis.
Strategies for Managing the Value of Business
- Develops best practices of financing, investing, strategic transactions for sustainable long-term growth of business value (COR-1)
- Implements methods for assessing the value of the company and its structural units (COR-2)
- Analyzes the contribution of corporate strategies to the growth of the company's value, including digital transformation of the company, ESG transformation of the company, strategic business purchase transactions, business focus, restructuring of financially unstable companies (COR-3)
- Develops an analytical tool for evaluating current performance based on the criteria of the contribution of management decisions to the value of the business and adapts to the specifics of the business model of a particular company (COR-4)
- Develops tasks, stages and models of applied research of value growth strategies for different categories of stakeholders of companies (COR-5)
- Develops financial models of long-term value creation processes of companies, taking into account the specifics of its non-financial capital (human, client, organizational, natural/environmental) (COR-6)
- Is able to develop new mechanisms and forms of capital raising, including applying the principles of financial engineering, to combine various properties of financial instruments, to share project risks between investors and to provide financing mechanisms for ESG transformation of businesses (PC-1)
- Able to analyze financial and non-financial information and evaluate the effectiveness of investment projects taking into account the uncertainty factor and the effectiveness of various types of strategic transactions of companies (PC-2)
- Able to build complex financial models to evaluate the results of company restructuring, including digital transformation, creation of business ecosystems and ESG transformation of companies, valuation of companies at different stages of the life cycle (PC-3)
- Able to develop systems of budgets and current operational efficiency management in accordance with the criteria for achieving business value growth (PC-4)
- Able to carry out applied research of money management practices in the context of new trends and challenges of the economy using econometric methods and digital tools for working with data (PC-5)
- Able to develop a risk management policy taking into account new factors related to the processes of digitalization and ESG transformation of companies (PC-6)
- Able to develop analytical support for financial functions in business and the best practices of financial and economic services (analysis, measurement, evaluation, financial planning, financial modeling, performance management, including ecosystems) ahead of the curve, catching rapid changes in the competitive environment of industries (PC-7)

Корпоративные финансы – это отдельная новая для России область знаний. Здесь речь идет об изучении движения денег, а также других форм капитала как в бизнес (привлечение и инвестирование), так и из него (выплаты). Для эффективной организации этой работы требуется особая методология, система принципов и концепций, необходимых для понимания и численной оценки мотивов поведения инвесторов (собственников и кредиторов) и менеджеров по всей цепочке движения капитала и денег. С точки зрения роли в карьерном росте мы выделяем следующие блоки дисциплин.
Структура ОП магистратуры включает в себя следующие образовательные модули:
- Модуль «Ключевые семинары» для получения студентом представления о передовом опыте и/или исследованиях, соотнесенных с тематикой его траектории обучения, координируемый своим наставником.
- Практический модуль (далее – Практика) формирует компетенции студента, позволяющие решать практические задачи выбранной профессиональной деятельности, включая проектную, научно-исследовательскую, предпринимательскую, экспертно-аналитическую. Подготовка ВКР также проводится в рамках освоения модуля «Практика».
- Профессиональный модуль (далее – Major) предоставляет возможность освоить профессиональные компетенции, необходимые для достижения персональных образовательных результатов студентов. В него входят базовые дисциплины направления по эконометрике, макроэкономике, теория финансов, блок основных дисциплин специализации и также же включены дисциплины вариативной части в соответствии с учебным планом траектории направления.
- Дополнительный модуль (далее – МагоЛего) даёт студенту возможность получить дополнительные компетенции, позволяющие персонализировать ИУП по запросу студента.
- Модуль государственной итоговой аттестации (далее – ГИА) позволяет установить уровень результатов освоения студентом ОП и включает в себя защиту выпускной квалификационной работы.

This degree programme of HSE University is adapted for students with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities. Special assistive technology and teaching aids are used for collective and individual learning of students with SEN and disabilities. The specific adaptive features of the programme are listed in each subject's full syllabus and are available to students through the online Learning Management System.
